ABOUT FRESH AIR SCULPTURE

Set up by art collectors, Lucy and David Abel Smith, the first Fresh Air Sculpture was held in the Quenington Old Rectory gardens in 1992. Acclaim for the show’s originality and innovative mixture of traditional, modern and cutting-edge outdoor sculpture has grown year by year and Fresh Air Sculpture is now an established and much anticipated fixture in the art events calendar. Fresh Air Sculpture became a charitable trust, under Quenington Sculpture Trust, in 1997.

Here is some new equally thought provoking work... . Posted @withregram • @precupac "A penny and a dream" is a series of small scale sculptures consisting of hand made houses and real bank notes or coins. The houses are made from materials varying from steel to marble. Each one is unique but all of them abstract and blank, becoming a representation for a universal home. The currency adds value to the work both conceptually and literally. Whilst the quirky and humorist value of the work is inviting, the piece is posing the following questions: What is the value and worth of this art piece? Will the spending of the notes devalue the work?
