Sue Gibbons

Sue Gibbons is a teacher and artist-maker, having trained as a painter her work has evolved through textiles into making intricate paintings with vintage fabrics, threads and dyes. Recent work explores colour and surface that is rich with texture and made through a slow and reflective process gathering fabrics and of hand stitching. For Fresh Air 2026 she has made work designed to be seen displayed outside in the shadow of the gardens. She is currently the Curriculum Leader for art at Malmesbury School where her ongoing work as an artist and as an active researcher drives new educational approaches in the classroom.
