Jacquard, Max and Lee, Jessie

Together with our colleague Jessie Lee we have been capturing the surface of water through photography and translating the photos into a 3D printed format through surface mapping. Once we have that printed relief we capture it in cast glass and have it mirrored.

Max Jacquard is an established glass artist with a strong reputation for innovation in both technique and concept. Jacquard’s work uses a rich sculptural language through the use of kiln formed glass combining personal stories with diverse cultural references including archaeology, alchemy, science and craft traditions. His work has been acquired by the V&A Museum, the Shipley Museum of Applied Arts, the Shanghai Museum of glass and the MAVA Museum in Alcorcon, Madrid. Most recently he completed a commission at the Tower of London to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
