Lakshtanova, Katya

Katya creates objects based on pods, pinecones, and seed cases—structures that shift from enclosing life to revealing their inner architecture as they age. She works with inverted scale, amplifying small fragments and bringing them close. Surface contrast is central: glossy, coloured glazes sit against dry, rough clay. Through these forms, she creates contemplative objects that invite reflection on inner change and the amazement of life continuing to unfold from within as we age.
