Phipps, Georgie

Subverted matchbox designs are enlarged and executed in clay but made to resemble cardboard.  Dwarfed by being outside, these ceramic sculptures appear as though miniature. They feature spoonerisms of popular matchbox brands highlighting challenges to humankind. Georgie Phipps is a Ceramicist based in Cornwall; her current preoccupation is with packaging.
