Watt, Shona

Shona was awarded a Crafts Council Award for developing flags as an art form in 1998. Since then her flags have been commissioned for the opening of The Millennium Footbridge, The Melbourne Museum and The Hoogly Millennial Park in Kolkata. She was lead artist for the River of Hope section in the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, designing 200 printed silk flags displayed at The National Maritime Museum. She works with silks, but now incorporates digital printing and embroidery in her work.
