Risley, Joanne

Joanne Risley is interested in the repeated forms found within diverse natural elements, linking the microscopic with the monumental.  She often uses mathematics in the construction and planning of her forms.  Joanne does not seek to copy nature, rather to absorb, filter and create something new from the things she has seen and the experiences she has had.

Joanne finds the processes of conception, growth, flux and evolution endlessly fascinating and seeks to capture something of the wonder and power of nature in her artwork.
