Barker, Sally

Sally Barker’s pieces explore our precarious relationship with and the mark we make on the environment.

Sally uses clay to capture a printed element of her hand, in the squeezed fingerprints embedded in each tiny piece of clay in the ghostly-white series “Pernicious” to “Squeezed”, a bunch of ceramics, hanging like visceral fruit, made by squeezing clay in her fist.
